Reflecting on the past year, I’m reminded of the incredible journey Ilene Levy and I have embarked on since the end of 2022. Transitioning from the NBA, leaving behind the familiarity of Hong Kong, and venturing into the unknown by launching our company filled us with excitement and questions about the possibilities that lay ahead. Could we thrive as digital nomads while building a successful business? Could we create meaningful connections and contribute positively without a fixed location?
In the past 12 months, while we may not have all the answers, our experiences have been nothing short of transformative.
2023 saw us traversing 13 countries, engaging in over 100 new “coffee” conversations, and we both joined new non-profit boards. We’re proud to have not only secured new clients but also provided unwavering support, setting the stage for significant business growth in the coming year for TwoNomads.
Our journey has been a tapestry of thrilling adventures – from doing a tandem jump off a bridge in Zimbabwe to completing a marathon in Saigon, encountering the breathtaking beauty of the Taj Mahal in India and on safari in Botswana, savoring the wines of South Africa, and rappelling through the waterfalls of Dalat. These experiences have enriched our lives and fueled our passion for exploration.
As we look ahead, the groundwork laid feels promising, but our quest is far from over. There’s still much to achieve and countless more destinations to uncover.
